Warpin CNY Edition
Not all who wander are lost. Even though some people did not have the chance to spend the Chinese New Year (CNY) in the midst of their family, there was no need to fret of being lonely as the Division of Welfare held its very own Warpin – CNY Edition.
The event brought together more than 40 students, Indonesian and Westerners alike, in an intimate Hall 13 TV Lounge, who had an amazing time with delicious food and warm friends. The foods presented were nothing short of reminiscent of Indonesia.
There was the fragrant rawon complete with succulent beef slices cooked to perfect tenderness, the mouthwatering kolak filled with banana slices and brown sugar concoction, the hearty crunchy perkedel, and the always-refreshing sweet iced tea. Was it also mentioned that the rice was free flow? With the aromatic rawon broth, you could eat up to your heart’s (or in this case, stomach’s) content.
Food was not the only highlight of this event. The warm bustling crowds made you feel at home away from home before chiming together to an impromptu karaoke session that brought you through the night.
Now you know where to go to if you are not going back home for CNY Celebration. Catch us on the next Warpin – CNY Edition!
